Tattoo Prices in Merritt Island, FL
One of the first questions almost everyone asks before getting tattooed is simple:
How much is my tattoo going to cost?
At Moon & Ash Tattoo Co. in Merritt Island, Florida, we try to keep tattoo pricing straightforward and affordable.
Our current pricing starts at:
Flash Tattoos — Starting at $25
Custom Tattoos — Starting at $50
8-Hour Day Sessions — $500
Final tattoo prices vary depending on the design, size, placement, detail and amount of time required.
Flash Tattoos Starting at $25
Looking for an affordable tattoo without having to design something from scratch?
Our flash tattoos start at $25.
Flash tattoos are pre-drawn designs that are ready to tattoo. They're a great choice for walk-ins, smaller tattoos, spontaneous tattoos, matching tattoos and anyone who finds a design they love.
We regularly have different flash designs available, so stop in and see what's currently on the walls.
Custom Tattoos Starting at $50
Have your own idea?
Custom tattoos start at $50 at Moon & Ash Tattoo Co.
Custom pricing depends on factors including:
Size
Placement
Amount of detail
Color or black and grey
Design complexity
Tattooing time
Bring us your idea or reference images and we'll discuss the design and price with you before getting started.
$500 Full-Day Tattoo Sessions
For larger projects, we offer 8-hour tattoo day sessions for $500.
A $50 deposit is required to reserve a day session.
Full-day sessions can make sense for larger tattoos or clients who want to make significant progress on a project in one sitting.
Instead of repeatedly booking shorter sessions, you have an artist reserved for the day.
Talk with us beforehand to determine whether your tattoo is a good fit for a full-day session.
What Determines the Price of a Tattoo?
There isn't one universal price for every tattoo.
Two tattoos that appear similar at first can require very different amounts of work.
Size
Larger tattoos generally require more time and materials than smaller tattoos.
Detail
A small but extremely detailed design may require more time than a larger, simpler tattoo.
Placement
Some areas of the body are more difficult to tattoo than others. Placement can affect how a design needs to be drawn and how long it takes to complete.
Color
The amount and type of color work involved can affect the time required to finish a tattoo.
Design
A piece of ready-to-go flash and a completely custom drawing involve different amounts of preparation.
That's why the best way to get an accurate tattoo price is to show us what you want.
Are Walk-In Tattoos More Expensive?
No.
Getting tattooed as a walk-in doesn't automatically make your tattoo more expensive.
Moon & Ash welcomes walk-ins, and many smaller tattoos, flash pieces and straightforward custom designs can be completed the same day when an artist is available.
Your price is based primarily on the tattoo itself—not simply whether you scheduled it weeks in advance or walked into the shop that day.
How Much Does a Small Tattoo Cost?
Small doesn't always mean the same thing when it comes to tattooing.
A simple small design can require considerably less time than a highly detailed tattoo of the same physical size.
At Moon & Ash, flash starts at $25 and custom work starts at $50.
For an accurate quote, stop by the shop and show us the design, approximate size and placement you're considering.
How Much Does a Sleeve Cost?
Sleeves and other large-scale tattoos aren't one-size-fits-all projects.
The final cost depends heavily on the style, detail, coverage, existing tattoos and number of hours required.
If you're considering a sleeve, back piece, large leg tattoo or another major project, our $500 8-hour day sessions may be worth discussing with an artist.
We can look at your idea and determine the best way to approach the project.
